UPAYA MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS II SDN 002 TELUK NILAP KUBU BABUSSALAM MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE STAD DENGAN PENDEKATAN RME

Abstract


This study aims to improve the results of learning mathematics students class II SDN 002 Teluk Nilap Kubu
Babussalam by applying STAD cooperative learning model type with RME approach. The subjects in this study
are the students of class II SDN 002 Teluk Nilap Kubu Babussalam, with the number of students as many as 36
people, while the object in this study is the application of STAD type cooperative learning model with realistic
mathematic education (RME) approach to improve mathematics learning outcomes. This study was conducted in
two cycles, cycle I consisted of two meetings and one daily test and cycle II consisted of 2 meetings and one daily
test. In order for this classroom action research to work well without any obstacles that interfere with the
smoothness of the research, the researchers set up the stages in the classroom action research: planning /
preparation of action, action execution, observation and reflection. Based on the results of the research, it is
concluded that the method used to improve the learning outcomes of mathematics students of class II SDN 002
Teluk Nilap Kubu Babussalam on the subject matter of building space. The average of student learning outcomes
before the action is categorized as low with the percentage of attainment of KKMnya 40%, while student
learning outcomes after the action is categorized both with the percentage of KKM achievement of 75%, with
100% success category of the number of students. This means that all students have achieved a predetermined
success score (at least 75%). From the result of research indicate that student learning result in second grade
SDN 002 Teluk Nilap Kubu Babussalam mathematics can be improved through applying STAD type cooperative
learning model with RME approach.
