PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN MENDENGARKAN CERITA ANAK MELALUI MEDIA AUDIO VISUAL PADA SISWA KELAS I SDN 024 TARAI BANGUN KECAMATAN TAMBANG KABUPATEN KAMPAR

Abstract


This research is motivated by the low skill of listening to children's stories on Indonesian learning in class I students of SDN
024 Tarai Bangun Kecamatan Tambang Kabupaten Kampar. This study aims to improve the listening skills of children's
stories in Indonesian language learning through the application of audio visual media to class I students of SDN 024 Tarai
Bangun Kecamatan Tambang Kabupaten Kampar. The subjects of this study were all students of class I SDN 024 Tarai
Bangun Kecamatan Tambang Kabupaten Kampar, totaling 30 people, in 2016. The form of research was classroom action
research. This research instrument consists of performance instruments and data collection instruments in the form of
observation sheets of teacher activities and student activities. Based on the results of research and data analysis it can be
concluded that the use of audio visual media can improve the skills of listening to stories of children of class I students of
SDN 024 Tarai Bangun Kecamatan Tambang Kabupaten Kampar. This success is known from the average value of students'
skills at the second meeting of the second cycle. Where in the initial data only obtained an average value of 62.8, at the 1st
meeting of the first cycle obtained an average of 67.8, at the 2nd meeting of the first cycle obtained an average of 72.7, at the
meeting 1 cycle II obtained an average of 73.5, at the 2nd meeting of cycle II, it was obtained an average of 81.8, while the
completeness was obtained by all students. This indicates that the audio visual media can improve the skill of listening to the
stories of children of class I students of SDN 024 Tarai Bangun Kecamatan Tambang Kabupaten Kampar.
