UPAYA MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA MELALUI PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM SOLVING DI KELAS IV SEKOLAH DASAR NEGERI 035 TARAI BANGUN
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to improve the learning outcomes of grade IV primary school science on basic
competence to describe the forms of heat energy. The research method uses classroom action research,
consisting of two cycles, the research stages in each cycle consist of initial reflection, planning, action,
observation and reflection. The subjects of the study were the fourth graders of Sekolah Dasar Negeri 035 Tarai
Bangun with 31 students. The research instrument used is learning tools (syllabus, learning implementation
plan, and student worksheet), teacher and student observation sheet, and repetition for daily one and two daily
replications. Data collection techniques used observation techniques and test techniques, while data analysis
techniques using descriptive analysis. The result of the research shows that the teacher activity data has
increased from 58,44% with enough criterion to become 70,83% with good criterion, then become 83,33% with
very good criteria and increase again to 87,50% with very good criteria. So also with the activity of students
from 54.16% with enough criteria to increase to 66.66% with good criteria, then to 75.00% with good criteria
and increased again to 79.16% with good criteria. Improved learning outcomes from the average base score of
67.87 to 74.45 in cycle I with the percentage increase of 9.70%, then increased again to 80.26 with the
percentage increase of 18.25%. Based on the results of research and discussion, this study can be concluded that
the application of problem solving learning model can improve science learning outcomes of fourth graders
