KEMAMPUAN GURU BAHASA INGGRIS SMA DI KABUPATEN KEPULAUAN MERANTI DALAM MERANCANG PERANGKAT PEMBELAJARAN

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to determine the ability of English teacers ofsenior high school at Kepulauan Meranti regency in designing syllabus as well as lessonplan. All of the senior high school English teachers in Rangsang and Tebing Tinggidistrict area were chosen as respondence of this research. Before the teachers are asked todesign the syllabus and lesson plan, they were given the explanation about everythingrelated to teaching preparation apparatuses. The results of this study indicated that theaverage score of the teachers’ ability in designing the syllbus was 2,8 and their averagescore in designing lesson plan was 2,9.
