PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN DAN KOMPENSASI TERHADAP KINERJA PEGAWAI PETUGAS PENYULUH LAPANGAN (PPL) PADA BADAN PELAKSANA PENYULUHAN DAN KETAHANAN PANGAN KABUPATEN SIAK
Abstract
Background in research due to a decrease in employee performance PPL. For that to know the cause of a
decrease in performance with attention to leadership and compensation, presented the formulation of the problem,
namely : Does leadership and compensation simultaneously affect the employee ‘s performance extension agents at the
Executive Agency and the Food Security Extension Siak? Is leadership a partial effect on employee performance Extension
Officers (PPL) at the Executive Agency for Food Security Extension Siak? Is partially compensating effect on employee
performance Extension Officers at the Executive Agency for Food Security Extension Siak Siak? The purpose of this study
was to analyze the effect of simultaneous and partial compensation to employee performance and leadership Extension
Officers at the Executive Agency and the Food Security Extension Siak.
The population is all employees of PPL on the Executive Agency and the Food Security Extension Siak totaling 129
people, using the Slovin thus obtained a sample of 57 respondents. The type of data used is primary data and secondary
data. Data was collected through interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis method used is descriptive and
quantitative method, which is the value of analyzing the data obtained are tabulated by multiple regression formula.
Based on the research results, we can conclude that the variable compensation assessed not affect performance because
of the survey results revealed that the variable compensation assessed not affect performance because of the compensation
received by an employee is already a provision regulated by Law no compensation can affect performance because
according to respondents, performance their compensation earned will remain the same. Good leadership can improve
the performance of employees through motivation provided to employees. The existence of the leadership in the workplace
can increase employee performance, is seen when the leadership is in place PPL carry out their duties, then they will be
spirit and enterprising in the line of duty, whereas if it is not the same in terms of leadership, usually PPL casual work .
PPL ‘s performance needs to be improved because of the declining performance of PPL indications lead to the public
agricultural extension becomes effective and on target.
