PERANAN PERKEBUNAN KELAPA SAWIT DALAM MENYERAP TENAGA KERJA DIKABUPATEN ROKAN HULU

Abstract

This study focused on the role of plantations on employment in Rokan Huluregency. The method used in this study is a quantitative diskriptive. The results showedthat the activities of oil palm plantation development work, which is quite large. On theother hand unemployment in Rokan Hulu regency also great. It turns out that there aremore job opportunities mostly filled by workers from outside the Rokan Hulu regency,especially the employment opportunities that exist in companies engaged in oil palmplantations. On plantation labor populace largely filled by family labor and partly filledby workers from outside. Based on estimates, future labor shortages will be greater innearly all activities in oil palm plantations.
