PENGUKURAN OKSIGEN TERLARUT DARI FOTOSINTESIS ALGA CHLORELLA VULGARISDENGAN BIOCHIP-G
Abstract
Algae is an aquatic plant that can produce dissolved oxygen through photosynthesis and consumpting
oxygen in aerob condition. Existance of algae as producen and consumen oxygen making it to be an
indicator for water quality. Level of DO detected using biosensor biochip-G by amperometris work
principle. Algae chlorella vulgaris grown in algae culture broth combinated by artificial illumination
for eliminating sunlight as light energy source. Dark and bright illumination gave for different
situation for an hour in dark and an hour in bright to detect algae activity by DO fluctuation. In dark
situation 60 minutes at first showing decrease of DO and increase of voltage. In ON condition for
60.0167 until 120 minutes showing decrease of voltage for producing oxygen by algae photosynthesis.
In OFF lamp for 120.0167 until 180 minutes showing increase of voltage for consumpting oxygen by
algae. For 180.0167 until 240 minutes decreasing voltage because algae producing oxygen through
algae photosynthesis. As long as photosynthesis reaction, algae chlorella vulgaris doing reproduction
to drop voltage in period different of dark illumination. Relation between voltage and DO level is
reverse ratio.
