Perancangan Modul Security Pemustaka (Check-In) Sirkulasi Perpustakaan Universitas Riau

Abstract

The rapid development of the library gives a result of the increasing number of visitors to the library.The high number of library visits increase our need for security anyway library materials and libraryassets other. To help secure library materials mainly stored in the library circulation space, requiredprocedures and validation checks on pemustaka pemustaka, in order to ensure the entry into circulationspaces are those that have met the requirements of the administrative procedure. Prior to this study,checking the status of membership pemustaka coming into circulation spaces are still using the manualmethod, which is carried out by the security guards and service personnel circulation. As an increasingnumber of visits, then check the volume of work to be great and would require substantial resources toimplement them. This study was undertaken to design a computer-based device, which can be checkedautomatically without the intervention of the officer directly. The design is done in this study consistedof perencangaan hardware (hardware), software design (software) and computer network design(netware). The hardware is prepared comprising a server device server machines are supported by thesoftware LAMP (Linux, Apache MySQL and PHP). Devices on the user side (client device) consistsof a PC (Personal Computer), Barcode, Barcode Reader, RFID Tag, RFID Reader, Receipt Printer andNetworking Infrastructure. Once designed, then do all the preparation put into a machine that is readyfor use as a security pemustaka (check-in) circulation of Riau University Library.Keywords: library, automation, check-in, circulation, information technology
