Abstract


  The Education Office viewed from the Indonesian government system is the spearhead of
the regional government that is directly faced with education issues to the wider community. The
image of education as a whole will be largely determined by the performance of the organization.
However, there is still a lack of leadership sensitivity to accept employee suggestions in meetings so
that subordinates feel they are not involved in decision making. This study aims to determine the
Effect of Leadership Method on organizational effectiveness at Dumai City Education Office. This
research was conducted at Dumai City Education Office with the respondents of the research is all
employees of Dumai City Education Office amounted to 116 employees. Sampling of employees in
this study using census or saturated sampling techniques. Based on the research, it can be concluded
that (1) Leadership method at City Education Office office can be categorized well enough with total
score 3408, (2) organizational effectiveness at Dumai City Education Office categorized good with
total score 2126, (3) Influence Leadership Method Against Organizational effectiveness at Dumai
City Education Office can influence significantly with hypothesis that is t arithmetic < t table, that is
9,307 < 1,661, hence reject Ho and Ha mean there is influence of leadership method to organizational
effectivity at Dumai City Education Office.
