RELASI KEKUASAAN DALAM BUDAYA MELAYU RIAU

Abstract

This study describes the influence of power relationsshift in the meaning of Malay culture against government power system in Riau. The method usedin this paper is a descriptive qualitative research method that is defined as a problem solvingprocess were investigated by describing the state of the subject and object of research at thepresent time based on the facts that appear or how it is. Study site is located in the province of Riauand writers gather research data from several books, encyclopedias, journals, mass media, and in-depth interviews with the research informants figures Riau Malay. This study led to the conclusionthat according to the criteria of Malay culture as the driving power of a ruler is basic is that a leadermust embrace the religion of Islam. Power relations with Riau Malay culture is as follows that thegovernment should wither include all related components, transparent and accountable, effectiveand fair, guarantee the rule of law, and considering the interests of society as a social, political andeconomic.
