PENGGUNAAN METODE JIGSAW UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR APRESIASI SASTRA POKOK BAHASAN UNSUR INSTRINSIK DAN EKSTRINSIK KARYA PROSA ANAK SISWA KELAS V SD NEGERI 035 PEKANBARU
Abstract
This study aimed to determine (1) The use of the method in teaching literatureappreciation Jigsaw subject insrinsik and extrinsic elements of literary prose children fifth gradestudents of State Elementary School 035 Pekanbaru, (2) Is the use of the method by applyingthe Jigsaw can improve student learning outcomes in grade V elementary School 035 on thesubjects of literary appreciation subject of intrinsic and extrinsic elements. This research isClassroom Action Research (CAR). The experiment was conducted two cycles. Each cycleconsists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection and action. Methods of datacollection are observation / observation. The problem in this study is motivated low averagedaily value of fifth grade students on the subject of literary appreciation of the intrinsic andextrinsic elements. Minimum Criteria for completeness (KKM) is determined school studentsis 70. Prior to this research, the results of study on the initial tests showed that incomplete as62.50% while complete as much as 37.50%. After the learning process in the first cycle is notcompleted increased into 37.50% and 62.50% completed. In the second cycle incomplete andthere is no more complete in the range of values being as much as 30.00%, 20.00% high valuerange, and the range of values is very high 12.50%. In the application of the Jigsaw methodlooks a change of the learning process from the initial value, proceed to the first cycle andsecond cycle increasing. Likewise, the activities of teachers and students in the first cycle tothe second cycle is increased ie apperception 37.50 into 92.50, paying attention to the lessonslearned from 53.00% to 85.00% expressed discuss steps from 50.00% to 100% and guidestudents in a discussion of 62% to 87.50%. The results are expected to be the subject ofinformation teachers especially Indonesian subject matter appreciation of children’s literaturesubject of intrinsic and extrinsic elements. So it can be concluded that the use of the Jigsawmethod can improve student learning outcomes subject of intrinsic and extrinsic literary fifthgrade elementary school children.
