PENERAPAN METODE DEMONTRASI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI BELAJAR IPA SISWA
Abstract
This study aims to determine the application of methods of demonstration can improve the achievement of science learning grade IV SDN 20 Pekanbaru. Subjects studied were students of grade IV 20 Pekanbaru. The number of students is 35 students consisting of 19 male students and 16 female students most of them aged 10 years. Techniques used to collect data in this study are primary data (test results) and secondary data (the results of student and teacher observation). This research was conducted by applying the demonstration method that has been done for three cycles, it can be concluded that the learning by applying the method of demonstration has a positive impact on students' activity in improving the learning achievement of science students of grade IV SDN 20 Pekanbaru with the average student activity on cycle I (46 , 79%) were categorized as less active in cycle II (51.28%) increased although in the same category that is less active and in cycle III increased with active category (73.07%). While the achievement of science study of grade 4 students can be seen from the average class in cycle I categorized enough (60%) in cycle II has increased the average grade class with good category (74.29%) while in cycle III average class also categorized well (97.14%). The conclusion that the implementation of demontration method can improve the learning achievement of science students of grade IV SDN 20 Pekanbaru.
