Implementasi Kerjasama Sister City Studi Kasus Sister City Bandung – Braunschweig (Tahun 2000 – 2013)
Abstract
The international relation phenomenon of Sister City has developed rapidly notonly in foreign country but also in Indonesia. This research has goal to openknowledge about city relation by describing the background of Sister City andit corporation procedure. The focus of this research is Bandung motivation towork out a closer cooperative of Sister City with Braunschweig. This researchuses Complex Interdependence concept which has been revealed by RobertKeohane and Joseph Nye. This research is qualitative research by using primerand secondary file, the used technique is collecting file which is used by libraryobservation and interview. The result of this research prove thatimplementation of the Sister City partnership of Bandung (Indonesia) withBraunschweig (Germany) is motivated by the existence of similarcharacteristics and common interest, so it makes an ideal pattern ofcooperation (sensitive interdependence) which is build not for cover orcomplete the lack of the city, but also for increase the city’s potential. Thismotivation is also creates a long-term patter and short positive impact for bothcity. As theory of Robert Keohane and Joseph Nye, about ComplexInterdependence.
