BIOMETRIK TELINGA PADA MAHASISWA FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS RIAU ANGKATAN 2006-2009 SEBAGAI ALTERNATIF IDENTIFIKASI INDIVIDU

Abstract

Ear biometric one of the six biometric types utilized to aid the forensics for identification. Theprincipal of ear biometric is each ear possesses unique characteristic which would remainunchanged till death even for monozygotic twins. In many cases, ear biometric have been animportant method in identification but there are not many studies about ear biometric as well. Adescriptive study had been done to 2006’s-2009’s medical students of Riau University with totalpopulation 432 students and 212 samples was taken by using the formula of minimum sample by PPS (probably propotional sampel) method based on their sexes. The result of this study found adifference in the size of the ears between men and woman and also revealed that no two earprints are alike in every individual.
