PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN KEPALA SEKOLAH DAN KOMUNIKASI INTERPERSONAL TERHADAP KINERJA GURU SMP SE-KECAMATAN KUOK KABUPATEN KAMPAR
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the influence between principal
leadership and interpersonal communication on the performance of Junior High School
teachers in Kuok Sub-district Kampar District. To achieve the desired objectives, good
cooperation between principals and teachers is required. One of them with a good
communication process. Communication that occurs in schools, especially between the
principal and teachers, if done well and intensively, it will affect the attitude of teachers
in carrying out their daily tasks, which led to improvements in school performance.
Conversely, if the communication process that occurs in schools is not good, it can lead
to an authoritarian attitude. Especially when there is a prolonged disagreement between
principals and teachers. If it happens, it can have an impact on teacher performance
that is less than the maximum.The research method used is survey method method with
simple linear regression technique and multiple linear regression that is regression study
which aims to test hypothesis.Data taken from dissemination of the instrument to 107
teachers of Junior High School District of Kuok Kota Kampar Regency. After the test
requirements analysis, followed by hypothesis testing, pattern of regression equation yeng
formed v = 80,140 + 0,713X1 + 0,124X2. The amount of variable contribution of
headmaster leadership and interpersonal communication together to teacher performance
(Y) 42,5%, while the rest of 65,2% which could be influenced by other factors outside of
research. The significance test results obtained significance value 0.000 <0.05 then Ho
is rejected and Ha accepted. It can be concluded that the influence between principal
leadership and interpersonal communication on the performance of Junior High School
teachers in Kuok Sub-district of Kampar Regency has a positive effect.
