PEMANFAATAN LIMBAH TEMPURUNG KELAPA SEBAGAI ENERGI BIOMASSA UNTUK PENGERINGAN HASIL PERTANIAN

Abstract

The research has done by using coconut shell waste as biomass energifor drying agriculture products. Drying chamber is a collector in the rectangular formed of the size 130 cm x 97 cm x 120 cm that is equipped by a cylinder that has diameter of 50 cm, heigh of 30 cm, and 0,7 mm. The sample used are cassava crackers that is produced by Rejosari villageTenayan Raya subdistrictPekanbaru. The temperature measurement by using thermometer is reached maximum temperatureon the rack 2 is 68oC, and the maximum temperature on the rack 1 is 65 oC,the result due to the distance of rack 2are closer to the source of biomass energy. The average that was water content value are obtained is 20.5%, 13.5%, 10.8%, 9.6%, 6.1%, 3.7%, 2.3% and 1.3%. Efficiency of drying time by using biomasssa energy on sunny dayscloudg and rainy day are 60% and 93. 94% respectively.
