MODEL KEBIJAKAN PENGEMBANGAN DAN PEMBERDAYAAN KAWASAN PERBATASAN RAWAN KONFLIK

Abstract

Model Policy Development and Empowerment Areas Prone Border Conflict. The purpose
of this study was to develop and formulate a model of development and empowerment policies
such as whether to reduce conflicts community conflict prone areas in Riau Province. To answer
this question, it is theoretically possible to use approach to policy model . The model adopted is to
use the concept of combination and performs elaboration of policy models that correspond with the
issue of development and empowerment in every area of the border. Therefore, this research method
designed using mixed methods approach that is both qualitative and quantitative. Intake of this
method is to complement one method to another method. The results showed the border area into
a mirror and becomes a symbol of strength and prosperity of a region. The stability and prosperity
of the border area into a region the size of the welfare and harmony of the region concerned.
Because it takes understanding securing border areas in relation to the sovereignty of the region/
country can be interpreted that the threat to the region or island in the border area countries means
also a threat to the integrity and sovereignty of the country.
