DAMPAK EKONOMI ANAK PUTUS SEKOLAH PADA SEKTOR INFORMAL (KASUS TENAGA KERJA DALAM KELUARGA DI KOTA PEKANBARU)

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the children labor and theirlabor type, the economic value of school dropout children who work in the informalsector, income contribution to the economic family and government policies toovercome and nurture them. The method used in this research was survey methodand data obtainedfrom 60 school dropout children labors who work in the informalsector in Pekanbaru. Descriptive analysis was used in this research and the findingsshowed that 55% of the school dropout children laboring in the informal sector inPekanbaru, while 35% graduated of primary school and the rest (10%) havegraduated of high school. In other words, 90% of school dropout children laborsdidn't completed primary education level so that most influence to the labors quality.Theoretical contributions and practical implications of the findings are discussedand suggestions are presented.
