ANALISIS KEKUATAN PERSAINGAN BISNIS RITEL MODERN DI PEKANBARU (SEBAGAI SUATU FORMULASI STRATEGI BERSAING)

Abstract

Currently the retail industry presence in Pekanbaru has shown its peak , whichreflected by their positive growth and development in almost every district . Theseconditions will have an impact on the strength of retail competition in order toimprove the ability of retail gains , because the strength of the retail industrycompetition is actually a business threat . This research aimed to analyze the strengthof competition in the retail industry in Pekanbaru and the strategy that needs to bedone to anticipate the strength of the competition . Using survey methods which aremini market as a sample research by distributing questionnaires as data collectiontechniques. The results showed that the strength of the most powerful businesscompetition threat is the potential entry of new competitors in the modern retailindustry, while the bargaining power of suppliers considered not to be a seriousbusiness threat force for the time being.
